An ancient oil for ancient knowledge
Abramelin Oil has a long and rich history. This ancient oil is named after an Egyptian mage from medieval times and is based on a Biblical recipe found in the Old Testament. It was made popular by S. L. McGregor Mathers after the publication of The Book of the Sacred Magic of Abramelin the Mage(1897).
Abramelin Oil has many uses, including but not limited to connecting to ancient spirit knowledge, communication with spirits, self anointing and consecrating tools. It is also known for being a useful oil when doing workings that include pact making, binding and sealing. Use in conjunction with the texts within the Book of the Sacred Magic of Abramelin the Mage.
Here are several ways to use Abramelin Oil:
- Self-Anointing: Apply to your third eye, wrists, or heart center to enhance spiritual connection, focus, and receptivity.
- Anoint Magical Tools: Rub a small amount onto ritual tools, wands, athames, or other magical implements to consecrate and empower them.
- Offer to Your Altar: Use it to "feed" your altar by anointing sacred objects, statues, or offerings to maintain spiritual energy.

- Use in Pact Making and Binding: Anoint parchment, candles, or objects when performing rituals involving agreements, bindings, or sealing intentions.
- Consecrate Holy Objects: Use it to bless and consecrate items such as chalices, crosses, or other sacred items for ritual use.
- Incorporate into Ritual Baths: Add a few drops to a spiritual bath to prepare for deep meditation, ritual work, or connecting with divine energies.
- Dress Candles for Spiritual Work: Anoint candles used in rituals of devotion, spirit invocation, or pact-making to amplify the energy.
- Mark Ritual Spaces: Apply to the corners of a room, circle, or altar space to establish sacred and protected ground.
- Meditative Use: Dab it on your third eye or temples during meditation to deepen your connection with ancient spiritual wisdom.
